Photos Of The February Edition: Rangolis

This time, we present to you the traditional South Indian Rangolis. Rangolis are the ancient art of colouring floors. The patterns are symmetric and signify the talent of Indian women.

Usually the colouring mixture is fine sand or Rice flour. They are created at the entrance of house or near gods room to divert the evil eyes or envy of those who enter the house. Rangoli is still believed to work like the Chinese Bagua Mirror.

Another story of creating such Rice flour patterns was to provide food to ants and other insects. The aim was to live and also let every living organism live.

Today, small or big, the arrangement is still seen in almost all the South Indian households and one will also be surprised that despite the fast lifestyle, the members of house take time to create and retain the centuries old tradition.

All in all, I felt that these beautiful designs required a special status in our February travel E-edition.

Photo Of The November Edition : Cabbage Roses

Are These Roses?..Well, take a closer look at these flowers as they amaze you for a moment.

These are Cabbage Roses, mostly popular in European countries. Some say that they are hybrid varieties of Cabbage or Kale plant and Rose plant but not very sure.

And if you are wondering as to why it is the best photo of our November edition is because it is more popular during this season.

Cabbage Roses are favourite flowers for late fall and snow season as they withstand frost and snow. One of the specialities of the flowers is that it starts getting colourful as the weather gets cooler.

The Kale Roses are available in three colours White, Pink and Rose. These plants are mostly the garden plants for November, December and January.

They don't demand much water, no fertilizer and Sun. Note that you plant them on a Sunny day.

If you like them, you must come to Germany.

Oh! I Just Love Them...Do You?...Post All That You Feel Through Comments.

Gardening is the way to start your love for nature and travel!

Funny Picture Of The Day!

Fruit market in Mysore is famous for Mangoes. We get all varieties of fruits here and that too for a good bargain. One such Mango store is most of the time spotted without the store owner or seller but the Cat is always guarding the fruits.

She always sleeps on the weighing scale and the store owner (if present) weighs a kilo of Mangoes on the basis of his expertise in the business.

The owner is fond of his pet as she attracts kids and makes a good business. Anything that is fancy clicks..what do you say?

Best Travel Photo Of The October Edition

The caves of Badami (Karnataka) is also a home for Monkeys and my brother got to click this fantastic photograph. Although we apologize our ancestors for intruding privacy, we are equally fortunate to understand the genuinity, the passion for each other that we hardly get to see in the real world. With this, the evolution theory seems justified?

The Castle Of Nymphs

This Saturday, we planned to the most famous Nymphenburg palace in Munich, Germany. We took a regional bahn from Augsburg and reached the Munchen station within an hour. At first, we decided to go to the most famous palace in Bayern and as we reached our stop we got the glimpse of the massive white building amidst the blue lake.

Ducks and Swams welcomed us at the entrance and made us click pictures by posing in the blue water.  The audio guide explained the history of rulers and the palace. It seems the summer palace of Max Emanuel was built in 1664. The name 'Nymph' was probably called because of the 'Gallery Of Beauties', a chamber made for the most beautiful women of that period. The ceiling frescoes and baroque decoration are main attractions. Here are some beautiful travel photos of the palace.
