Croatia - New Crown Of Europe

On the occasion of the 'World Photography Day', I thought to share with you one of most beautiful destinations of the world, with photographs of course, to substantiate as proof.

And where on Earth would you imagine this beautiful place than in Europe, too close to Austria and Switzerland, oh yes, we are talking of Croatia.

I call it most beautiful because it is natural and unbelievable.

We planned a four day trip from Germany. DB (Die Bahn) is the most comfortable transport to Croatia apart from car rentals.

Hotel Central in Zagreb was where our accommodation was booked and the staff were very hospitable and friendly to our needs.

Our first day went for day long travel but we had fun time playing games, sightseeing and chatting with fellow travelers.

Our second day was to Plitvice National Park, the most popular travel spot in Croatia. We left at 6:30 AM and reached Plitvice at 10:15 AM by bus. The local bus transport to the national park is every one hour and comfortable.

Third day had to be to the KRK Islands for the pebble beaches in the 'Town Of Basca', Punat and Malinska, a dream visit.

Shopping at Croatia is very reasonable as the clothing and footwear are sold in Kunas (local currency) and even at bargained prices.

Although we couldn't talk the Croatian language, we could easily manage with English.

Here are some details about the Plitvice national park

The national park is the UNESCO world heritage site. It is called the 'Land Of Falling Waters' for the same reason. There are numerous clusters of lakes that fall from 7 different levels and look heavenly.

Natural habitat is maintained extremely well. Flora and fauna is rich and the government has taken good steps in keeping it clean and plastic free. The rest of the world needs to learn.

Even the ramp built to walk through the forest is made of natural wood that is paint and chemical free.

There are variety of insects that are rare and beautiful. I still remember jet black and electric blue helicopter flies.

Fishes are massive and add to the beauty of the Aquamarine waters.

About Pebble Beaches Of KRK Islands

The Adriatic coast of Croatia is simply wonderful. The crystal clear waters allow you to take a swim and sun bath on the pebble shore.

Scuba dive, Boating and Para Sailing are also available here.

Town of Basca is extremely picturesque. The streets are narrow and colourful. All streets lead to the beach and look photogenic.

Come, See and Enjoy your Stay at Croatia.
And Don't miss to taste their famous Wine and Brandy with nuts!

Best Event & Photos Of The December Edition

This is an awesome time in Augsburg, Germany. Its snowing, freezing and Christmas celebrations have a special effect. From Music performances to Theatre to Glu Wine marts, everything here would make you cherish all life. You can nowhere experience the 'Greeting Card' picture of Christmas like in Europe.

City Galerie, Augsburg organised a Jazz performance as part of the Christmas celebrations. The biggest X-mas tree was decorated and the entire Augsburg crowd gathered to sip some Glu Wine and enjoy the cool music. It was free entertainment for Augsburgers.

Ever heard of 24 hour shopping during Christmas? Well, here it is on the 30th of November. All my class mates were waiting for the day of discounts and offers. I have never seen a store like Zara being as crowded as it was on the Shopping night.

Everybody with big bags and attractive eyes, lovely women, sleepy children and housefull shops. We, a group of 4, had an awesome time that night and thought to share it with this post.

Try to make to Augsburg on November 30th of any year and discover what life during Christmas will be all about!
Come to Germany, you will be Grateful!

TecnoParque Mexico City

Welcome to a software park in Mexico City with a lot of software companies... It looks everything but like a place where software engineers are slogging !!!

Route
It is about 30-45mins in morning traffic from Reforma, I would call it the MG Road or Manhattan of  Mexico City. TecnoParque has a very subtle outer projection, it just comes suddenly without any big boards or indications. In my first visit i almost missed it!

Entrance
The entrance is more like a well secured 4star hotel lobby. There are quite a lot of security guards... The uniforms of security guards and the support staff is simply like any Software delivery manager on his way to a customer visit. For a change the security guards here were very friendly and the help desk tried their best to help visiting software executives to enter without issues..

Inside the Park
Every path way is very clean.. lots of green and just loved the water bodies... Having seen the architecture at Reforma, was expecting some bold and bright builds... To my surprise the building were very mildly decorated. None of the building is more than 2 floors!! I found it odd for a IT park but believe me it gives sooo much air and light that makes you feel fresh..

This was more like a university than a hectic software center..

Don't be surprised if you find a few golf carts in the park...

The people seem calm and enjoying with gentlemen and ladies dressed from complete formals to cool casuals..

Way to go Mexico...

The Deer City - Nara And Todaiji Temple, Japan

Nara being the first capital city of Japan, is a wonderful place to visit. As it was the first capital there remains historic treasures including Japan's oldest and largest temples. It is just one hour from Osaka and Kyoto.

Lets have a look at one of the oldest and largest temple in Nara - Todaiji temple. It is very famous and also a landmark of Nara. Todaiji's main hall is world's largest wooden building. The Buddha statue inside is Japan's biggest bronze statue. The open hand alone is as big as a human being.

This pillar is a popular attraction in this temple. There is a hole in its base where the size of its is same as Buddha's nostrils. It is said that those who can squeeze in will have an enlightenment in their next life.

Nara park is in central Nara. Nearly 1200 freely roaming deers have become a symbol of the city.

Indonesia: Jakarta Beckons!

The capital city of Indonesia, Jakarta! If one went back to review the history of Indonesia, one would see that it shares a lot of it with India. Be it in religion, spirituality, folklore, mythology or language, both these countries have a lot in common. For example, the name Jakarta is derived from the word 'Jayakarta' meaning 'victorious act' in ancient Sanskrit and Javanese. Also one can see various stone and wood carvings depicting scenes from mythological epics such as the 'Ramayana' and the 'Mahabharatha'.

The Buddha

Puppet art

Here are some snap shots of the capital city of Indonesia. The artistry exhibited in these buildings and sculptures speak volumes about the skills and craftsmanship of the Indonesians. One can see sculptures and idols of Vishnu, Garuda as well as The Buddha in these snaps. The city is filled with cathedrals, mosques, temples and monasteries.

The country is rooted in music, art, architecture and tradition. It is very famous for its stone and wood carvings. They are so beautiful that I had a couple of them made to adorn my home in India. Jakarta's unique culture beckons people from far and wide. This mythological city is interspersed with skyscrapers, man-made gardens and boasts of two big airports and a huge harbor. The language spoken here is predominantly Bahasa Indonesia, though other parts of the country still use other regional dialects of Javanese and Sundanese.  Here are more snaps of this beautiful city.
