The best part of Europe is the importance to nature. Plantations and Trees are of utmost importance in ornamenting and gracing the cities. The Green background makes its architectural monuments all the more beautiful and fresh.

It may come as a surprise to you to know that Trees can also help you distinguish and differentiate a city from the other. If Switzerland and Southern bit of Austria are famous for grasslands then Germany, Spain and Italy are well known for its own Tree varieties. Take a look at the post in detail.

Germany - Not many know but the idea of Christmas tree came from Germany. Yes, decorating a tree was not a popular thing until 19th century but in Germany, you can find many artists painting the jewelled tree in as early as 15th or 16th century.

Oak, Pine, European Beech, Large Leaved & Small Leaved Lime, Fir and Sweet Chestnut are commonly seen trees across Deutschland. Normally, the trees are of Christmas tree shape or rather conical. The famous Black forest is known for coniferous trees like Beech, Juniper, Fir, Spruce and Oak. That is why the Cuckoo Clocks are very popular here.

Many travellers proudly express that although Germany is a densely populated country, it is well planned in giving more preference to natural flora and fauna.

Italy - Very rare style of trees can be seen in Rome. They look like as if they have all got a 'Mushroom Cut'.

Itseems the very idea of trimming Pine trees in the Capital city was to get a clear view of all the historical buildings and also click good photos in the shade of them.

The greenery is not destroyed just to highlight the masterpiece monuments but retained cleverly by styling in a unique way.

Spain - Although Barcelona is the coast capital, it still retains good greenery to help travellers to take shelter during scorching summers. Palms are highly popular in Barcelona.

Badalona, Costa Brava have good series of Palms. Even Park Guell and Monjuic have Palms predominantly than the other trees and shrubs.

France - Paris is also famous for its "Alley Of Trees". The Eiffel Tower, prominent streets, walkways are surrounded and are amidst good greenery. Horse Chestnut, Cherry and Oak are common Trees varieties.

Architecture Sets European Nations Apart?

In Europe you will always feel overdosed with art and architecture. Every country can be defined and set apart from its buildings and use of materials. A few months of stay and you will be able to guess any street of a city as to which country it belongs. Today, I shall briefly share information on the architectural styles of the oldest and most popular European countries.

Germany - If you want to get the essence of German architecture, you must come to Bavaria. The Rathaus in most cities is ancient and significant to understand the German style of building. Usually, the old ones do not have an attached balcony or fence for windows, no grill work, the use of materials is highly practical. Tiled roof, typical of a house sketch with large windows. If you carefully observe, you will also see that most windows have large square panes.

Austria And Switzerland - The most common way to guess an Austrian or a Swiss house is through flowers. Yes, the window fences also hold flower pots with colourful Geraniums hanging making the exterior very colourful. Wood is extensively used in the house and the Italian door windows are also seen in most.

Spain - Apart from ceramic chip art and Gaudi's masterpieces, you can also view the colour architecture concept in Barcelona. Most buildings in the city are in the shades of Brown. Specially the Gothic quarters where the chain of buildings continue for several kilometres all looking like replicas of the other. It gives a feeling like as if you are been taken to the same street again and again.

Italy - No Italian architecture is complete without a piece of Marble and window doors. Pillars and porticos are commonly seen in most of the old buildings. Paintings are given the highest priority be it any size. The mosaic art of colourful marble for flooring is also unique and can be seen only here.

France - Staining glass is a popular French art. The windows are circular (Rose Windows) and intricate. Even the Chateau architecture is popular all over the globe. Wide Boulevards are also the typical of French design.

Beaches Of Barcelona, Spain

No beaches in the world can match with these blue Mediterranean seas. The water is cold, clear and blissful.
Beaches like Marbella, Vila Olympica, Nova Icaria and Bogatell are the most happening shores of the European nation. The weather is also beach friendly and you find people aged from 6 to 60 sunbathing on the shore, playing games and much more.
What amazes me is the look of the beaches, the 4km running sand, the view of luxury hotels and resorts, the yachts and ferries, all add to the picture perfect locale.

Barcelona also provides good beach facilities for travellers. Drink and Dine restaurants are more in number, WCs are hygienic, water showers are provided at every shore, bus and metro facilities are also good, travellers can cycle, hire rickshaw or even walk to enjoy the Mediterranean magic.
