Odaiba, a man made island is in Tokyo bay. Odaiba was built during Edo period to protect Tokyo against attacks from sea. But today, Odaiba is one of the most popular shopping, sightseeing destination and tourist attraction in Tokyo.
It is one among the Greater Tokyo Metropolitan area where the sea shore is accessible and not covered by industries and harbor areas.
The Rainbow bridge connects Odaiba to rest of Tokyo. It's a two story supporting an expressway, a regular road, the train line and pedestrian walkways on both the sides.
There are many attractions in Odaiba such as Toyota Mega Web, Ferris Wheel, Fuji TV building, Aqua-city, Telecom center, Decks Tokyo beach, Venus fort and many others. Please have a look at the pictures which we could capture during our visit to Odaiba.
Yurikamome Line: An automated, elevated train with rubber tires. It is an amazing experience to travel in this train as it passes amongst the beautiful sky scrapers of Tokyo.
Daikanransha is a Ferris wheel which is 377 feet tall which was world's tallest until London Eye in London was opened. This is a 16 minute ride in which Tokyo tower, Rainbow bridge, Haneda airport and Mt.Fuji on a clear day.
