Taj Mahal Restaurant, Interlaken

Taj Mahal restaurant in Interlaken (switzerland) is at the centre of the city. As we stepped in, the colourful gujarati art caught our eyes. We ordered Butter Kulchas, Paneer Makhani and waited for our order. There were many more Indian couples relishing food and enjoying drink. The bill was reasonable and food, quite filling.

Splendid Switzerland: 3 Day Sightseeing & More

For honeymooners, Switzerland is the dream destination. It was our second wedding anniversary and we hired a car to Swiss for 3 days stay.  We started of from Augsburg, Germany by 9 AM and reached Swiss in Audi A6 by 1:30 PM.

At Lucerne, our accomodation was at the Etap hotel (it's all over europe, very famous and reasonable). The first day was spent in sightseeing (photos) the Lucerne city. The chapel bridge is a must see spot in the place. We dined at an Italian restaurant and called the day off.

Our second day was adventurous, with viator.com, we planned to mount Titlis. We waited for the bus at the swiss station and were greeted by the Swiss guide Rita (from viator). She was friendly and told us many facts about Swiss.

There are three rope ways to Mt. Titlis and are simply outstanding, one of the main attractions for any engineer. The rope ways move linearly and as well as rotate. At the hill top of titlis, we were given an hour's time to visit the ice hotel, do some sledging, enjoy ice flyers and shop.

We thoroughly enjoyed snow and adventure rides. As the rats started running in our stomach, we were taken by surprise when an Indian store was ready to receive our orders for hot samosas and tea. Switzerland is one destination that has many indian restaurants in europe.

Our third day was a road trip to Interlaken and we zoomed in our A6 to get the view of the beautiful lake (lugern) and scenic beauty of interlaken. Ah, it was wonderful and cannot be explained in words. we brunched at the 'Taj Mahal' restaurant, interlaken and shopped a nice sovereign for remembrance. That's swiss for our readers, will keep you updated with some more trips to the playground of europe.

We missed to relish the famous cheese fondue but will surely visit the place yet another time and tell you about the experience.
