Africa became our dream destination after the 20-20 World Cup. Cape Town, Mauritius and Cairo are the highly preferred holiday destinations in the continent. The Masai Mara Safaris, Kilimanjaro Ruins and Durban beaches is what everyone recommend but time and season need to be taken into consideration. (Photos By: Deepthi Kiran).
Cape Town was our ideal holiday spot after a brief browse on the internet. The travel included many new explorations and we were all set for our new adventure.
Hop On Hop Off bus tours in Cape Town is ideal for city tours. You get to see a lot of important landmarks with an audio guide. The buses are flexible in terms of timings and frequency.
Cape Of Good Hope, as everyone are aware, is the southern end point of Africa but not many know that it is also the starting point of another Continent Antarctica. Surprisingly, it isn't very cold here but many Antarctic creatures like Penguins are found here too.
Here, in Cape, Penguins are called Jack Ass Penguins as they sound as if they are braying like Donkeys. Although it is Penguin protected colony, travellers get a chance to swim along these terrestrial birds.
There are also wild Ostriches and we were lucky enough to spot two atleast. Apart from ferry tours, there are also water adventures like Scuba, Deep Sea and Cage Dives where the later gives you a chance to feed the ever hungry Sharks. We didn't want to go for Cage Diving as it seemed quite scary.
In Kruger National Park we could see the very famous Cape Rhinos. Rhinos, sadly, top the list of the endangered species and we can find them here to save them atleast in our pictures. The Table Mountain national park is the other popular wildlife attraction.
Another interesting thing about the Cape parks is the rare and beautiful wild fauna. The flowers are colourful and attractive.
