Our Speed Syndrome – Why & How It All Started..

It all started in those days, when we saw Dil Chahtha Hai, a Bollywood movie.

Specially a scene where the 3 actors are in an open Merc, on a Bombay Goa highway!

Yes, we should also travel, not just travel but Drive, Ride, whatever you call it......!!

First, with Pulsar 180 (2002 to 2006) & Tata Indica (2003 to 2007), we covered around 55,000 kms (in both). 

We spent most of our times in Indica, driving to Munnar, Kodaikanal, Jog falls, Gokarna, Yercaud, Mantralaya, Madikeri, Melkote, BR Hills, Gaganachukki & Barchukki falls,Shivagange, Tumkur,  innumerable trips to Mysore, Kukke Subramanya, Sonde near Sirsi, etc....

And then, graduated to Royal Enfield Bullet, Machismo 350 (2006 to 2011), did only around 20,000 kms...

Best rides to Kukke Subramanya via Bisile, Ooty, Melkote, etc..
Ofcourse, got enough trouble with Tata Indica & had to say a big TATA!!

Then came the torqy 110 white horses! Yes, the Hyundai Verna Crdi (2007 to present)! Done close to a lakh km, with top speed 200kmph (speedo), & best performances of Hubli to Bangalore, 400km in 4hrs.....

Verna has seen Kanyakumari, Kodaikanal, Yercaud, Yelgiri, Chennai, Pondicherry, Ooty, Coimbatore, etc in TamilNadu!

Mysore, Hubli, Sirsi, Dhandeli, Mangalore, Subramanya, Udupi, Dharmastala, Gokarna, Karwar, Hubli, Irupu, Shimoga, Theerthalli, etc in Karnataka.. few places atleast 5times J

Not much in Andhra Pradesh, only Mantralaya, Lepakshi  & few drives on Hyderabad road!

Ofcourse, GOA, not just once!

Mahaballeshwar, Lonavala, Khandala, Karla caves, Mumbai, Pune, Ganapathipule, Taarkarli beach, etc in Maharashtra!!

Yernakulam, Cochin, Kumarakom, Allapuzza, Munnar, Waynad, Atthirapally, etc in Kerala

Hmmmm!! What else do you need, a car with enough torque, good mileage & great performance!

It didn't end here! Our group had more fun machines like Yamaha RXZ, Bajaj Caliber, TVS Fiero, Royal Enfield Thunderbird, Pulsar 220, Kawasaki Ninja......

And "the all time BOYZ favourite Hyundai Santro", Maruthi 800s, performing Honda City Vtech, Sporty Mitsubishi Cedia, Sexy Fiat Linea, Classy Honda Accord,.....

And then, there were onsites....

Which helped me to rent few cars & bike, to check out the world famous drivers paradise! Yes, the AUTOBAHN, with 260kmph on AudiA6 & 242kmph on Suzuki GSX-R!

Then, I could play with the Mercs A-class, B-class, C-class, E-class, S-class; the BMW 3-series & 5-series, Ford Mondeo, Opel Astra, Audi A4, VW Golf, VW Passat,  to name a few!!

And then, now in Japan. First time I could drive a Hybrid car, the Toyota Aqua, and then, Toyota Prius, Nissan Skyline, Maruthi SX4.....
