Coorg is one of the closest hill stations to Bangalore and on the way, we happened to visit one of the famous buddhist shrines of India "The golden Temple". Also called Bailu Kuppe, the place looks like mini Tibet.

Best Time To Visit: 10 AM to 6 PM
Food: There is a tibetian market near monastery. Steamed momos taste best in the market restaurant.
Many aren't aware that the Tibetian Immigrants who live found their new home in this southern bit of India as they are been under constant threat from China. On the request of the spiritual leader Dalai Lama, India has agreed to accommodate Tibetians and treat them with great honour and respect.
